Most of us experience stress in varying levels on a day-to-day basis. Stress is not
good for the health because it makes our muscles tense and bunch up, causing
pain. Also, it makes the organs of our body function under duress. That is never
good. The following modalities are available.

Massage is meant to alleviate pain and enhance the body's health.
Swedish massage is considered to be among the most basic methods of
massage and is among the first styles of massage that new masseurs get to
study. Developed by Henrik Ling in Sweden in the 1700s, Swedish massage is
particularly to allow the body to absorb more oxygen, thereby rejuvenating the
body. Swedish massage is also geared towards detoxification by increasing the
speed by which the cells of the body eliminate their waste materials.
But more than these, Swedish massage brings to the receiver an immense feeling
of satisfaction and relaxation.
This technique addresses specific muscles and muscle groups. The
practitioners are trained to fix specific problems. It is a fundamental
technique that offers fast results for both pain and stress. This form of cross
fiber massage was first written about in the late 1800's in New York City. A
medical doctor performing autopsies noticed that diseased areas of the body
were surrounded by muscle fibers that were dehydrated and stuck together.
He surmised that if one would rub across these fibers, they would release
and the healthy state of muscle would be restored. This technique begins
gently and progresses deeply as the outer muscle fibers relax, allowing the
second and third layer of muscle to be addressed.
Deep Tissue Massage is designed to reach the deep portions of thick
muscles, specifically the individual muscle fibers. Using deep muscle
compression and friction along the grain of the muscle, its purpose is to
unstick the fibers of the muscles and release both  toxins and deeply held
patterns of tension. Rated Deep.
This special form of massage is typically used before, during, and after athletic
events to prepare the athlete for peak performance, to drain away fatigue, to
relieve swelling, to reduce muscle tension, to promote flexibility and to prevent
injuries. Depending on the needs of the athlete, a variety of techniques are used
including classic Swedish strokes, cross-fiber friction, pressure-point work, and
joint mobilization.
Trigger Point Massage - Trigger point massage utilizes ischemic compression of
individual areas of hypersensitivity in muscles, ligaments, tendons and fascia.
These trigger points are defined by their referral of pain to distant locations in
muscles, connective tissues and organs. Janet Travell, M.D., pioneered trigger
point therapy in the United States.

Myofascial Release Therapy treats the whole body by focusing on the fascia—the tough connective
tissue that spreads throughout the body in a three-dimensional uninterrupted web. From head to
posture, repetitive stress injuries, scarring, and inflammation cause the fascial system to
malfunction. This malfunction causes pain, sometimes with strange side effects that may seem
unrelated.

Myofascial release therapy goes beyond elimination of the symptoms by focusing on the cause of
the problem. It is highly effective for releasing emotional trauma held in the body and reducing scar
tissue and adhesions. The gentle stretching used in myofascial therapy encourages fluid into the
tissues to improve movement. If you are in chronic pain, have restricted movement, are sensitive to
the touch, suffer from fibromyalgia or have experienced emotional trauma, the slow and gentle touch
of myofascial release therapy will help you.
